Well folks, I've had my first real snow "incident." I went over to my friend Lindy's house and as I was leaving my feet slipped out from under me and I landed flat on my back and went sliding down the incline. It was not fun. My head and butt hurt. A lot:(
I hope that you are all well and warm:) because I'm not. No, actually it's quite warm here. It's 36 degrees. I'm not being sarcastic; it really feels warm outside.

It snowed a lot today and was really beautiful. I am positive that I have now seen, in less than a month, more snow than I have ever seen in my lifetime (that's cumulative). It's really nasty out right now because it's so warm and everythings all slushy and icky. When I went to campus earlier today and it was snowing, the river looked so beautiful. it's almost completely frosen over except for a little bit of water in the very center and the ice is all covered with snow as are the trees. I wish that I had a camera because I would love to send you all a picture of it. Anyway, I love everyone and you people need to post more often!

Well, Mom. You see how much rest I'm getting. (post time) Love you
Now mother, you know that I'm going to be dying from curiosity (after all, curiosity did kill the cat:)) Anyway, Celeste's phone number is 765-420-7987. So, there you are. I want to take a nap, too. I'm very tired. i woke up really early and went to bed really late but I have lots of prep work that I need to do for teaching tomorrow. So, I best get to it. I love you all!

No problem about the double posting. Since I'm the admin, I can delete the extra one. Also, you're right about the name. i'll have to fix that...although we are family. And I promise, no more two week delays on the return of phone messages. love you all

Sue said she was having trouble posting or something so I'll e-mail her.
Great minds thinketh alike! I actually did that when I was talking to you earlier. Only I sprinkled a lot [baking soda] and then I was going to vacuum up the excess. It looks like there's a stain. Any suggestions?

hello lovely women. It's snowing here in Indiana and has been for hours. It's really beautiful and will hopefully cover up the slushy, dirty mess from earlier today when it actually got above freezing for a few minutes. Yesterday at 11:45 am it was 0 degrees Farenheit. That's actual air temp without factoring in the wind chill. and there's always a windchill in the midwest. {fun fact: snow often gets into my car while I'm putting my bag inside or it comes off of my snow brush, but it's so cold here that it never really melts. so instead of a wet floorboard I have little snow drifts}

well, I have an odd dilemna. This weekend I bought a bag of red potatoes to make soup with and when I brought them inside, I sat them down on my carpet so that I could take off my boots [and pants actually--I have to change as soon as I get home because my pants get snowy, dirty and salty along with my boots]. Anyway, I forgot to move them and I went to move them tonight and they were all liquidy! They aren't old enough to go bad, but they actually left a big wet spot on my carpet and an icky smell. I'm thinking that maybe they froze in my car, but would thawing out make them all mushy and liquidy? So, my question is: how do you get stinky potato smell out of the carpet?
Ahem! I object to the aspersion on my good name. "gotten into" I think not. Such a negative connotation, Mother. Do be wary of such questionable dictive measures. Adieu.
Welcome Sue, River and Mom! Now we can stay up to date and together even though we are many miles apart.
